Hi. My name is Vincent Finaldi. In this video, I wanted to answer the question, how do I get good at sales? So if you’re earlier in your career in your twenties or thirties or, dare I say, forties and you’re pivoting to sales for the first time, the one thing I encourage anyone to do in the sales profession is learn to give referrals to partners.
Meaning, you all have your power group. Where do I get the best referrals from? And they’re usually individuals in different industries. So the best way to start up business, the best way to feel good about your profession, and the best way to start developing a real network is to give quality referrals to other people.
Then whoever gets that referral will look at you differently for the rest of their professional career. So stop always thinking me, me, me, quota, quota, quota. How do I win the deal? Think how do I serve others even if it’s indirectly helping a referral partner get new business, which is all they want too.
So the easiest tip I can say to someone getting into the sales profession, learn to give referrals and think of others first before you think of yourself.
